Hi All,
We are setting up a new environment which is Windows based accessing Netapp storage. Our MS SCOM guys are installing ApplianceWatch 2.1.1 to monitor our filers and i am also interested to see what reporting data I can get out of ApplianceWatch/SCOM.
ApplianceWatch is asking for credentials to interrogate the filers with and I am unsure exactly what permissions (on the filer) to give this account? I have looked on the NOW site and found a video which shows them using Adminstrators account ("root" and "administrators") and I am worried that this is a security risk. It is a generic SCOM Active Directory service account that we will use. Can anyone tell me exactly what rights on the filers to give this account. The doco that came with ApplianceWatch install does not list this info.
Thanks in Advance.
WH

Thanks for the link Hans. I have asked for the updated list of roles for AppWatch version 2.1.1.
