SMO 3.2 - Can't select the option "prune" on the ArchiveLog Destionation screen

Hi All

What could be the reason, why the option "prune" is grayed out on the window "ArchiveLog Destination"?

My DB Oracle 11g is running on ArchLog.

Moreover I did select the option "Prune Archive logs" on the window "Database, Tablespaces or Datafiles to Backup".

If I click "next" without selecting the option "prune" i get the error message "SMO-28004: Atleast one arhivelog destination has to be selected for pruning"

I have found the reason.

"Pruning of archive log files from the flash recovery area destination is not supported."

Well too bad that Oracle recommends using the flash recovery area 😉
