Sharepoint completely on SATA drives?

Hello,

do we have any customers running Sharepoint (possibly in combination with SnapManager for SharePoint) running the entire SharePoint environment (SQL databases etc.included) on SATA drives, with or without PAM? Are there any references to this kind of setup available?

I've had customers in class running all kinds of data, including Sharepoint, on SATA primary storage.

There aren't any specific TRs that I know of, but you may find customer stories.

As long as the customer realizes they won't get the performance that they'd get otherwise ...
