IHAC that is trying to create snapshots with SDU in an AIX system using Veritas. The snapshots are taking a long time to create using the "snapdrive snap create -dg filespec" command. In the scale of minutes to complete. Anyone see this type of behaviour and what could be done to resolve it?
Secondly, when the volumes are snapmirrored to DR system, there is a DR system that tried to connect to the snapshots there but when it does, it always seems to want to go back and authenticate to the source filer. Not sure why.

What is the filespec options? what size are you trying to snapshot? What is the veritas version?
