Snapmanager for SQL on vmdks

Hello

Has anyone use snapmanager for sql with vmdks instead of RDMs?

we want to move all RDMs to VMDKs and want to know if SMSQL will work with vmdks as well as RDMs.

is there anything special needed?

Yes, VMDK is supported and there are a ton of community threads regarding it.  Check out http://www.netapp.com/us/system/pdf-reader.aspx?m=tr-4003.pdf&cc=us

Vitrual Storage Console (VSC) is required so SnapDrive can register VMDK drives.  VSC is installed on the vCenter server.
