smo cloning

Hi,

When restoring from an smo hot backup using "smo backup restore" we can specify a recovery option (i.e., -recover).

When cloning from an smo hot backup, since there is no way to specify a -recover option for the clone command) I assume that smo would internally executes the -recover -alllogs option as part of the cloning process. Is there a way to direct smo not to apply any logs when it clones the dabase from the smo backup.

Many thanks,

JS

Hi,

You are right, currently the cloning operation does not provide an option to do point in time clones.  This might be made available in a future release.

Thanks

Anand.
