San Jose, CA – March 6, 2025 – NETAPP has won a Silver and Bronze Stevie Award® in the Award for Innovation and Customer Service-Computer Industries category and the Best Customer Engagement Initiative category in the 19th annual Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service.
The Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service are the world’s top honors for customer service, contact center, business development and sales professionals. The Stevie Awards organizes nine of the world’s leading business awards programs, also including the prestigious American Business Awards® and International Business Awards®.
Winners will be celebrated during a gala event attended by more than 400 professionals from around the world at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City on April 10.
More than 2,100 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry, in 45 nations and territories, were considered in this year’s competition. Winners were determined by the average scores of 176 professionals worldwide on seven specialized judging committees. Entries were considered in more than 90 categories for customer service and contact center achievements, including Contact Center of the Year, Award for Innovation in Customer Service, and Customer Service Department of the Year; more than 60 categories for sales and business development achievements, ranging from Senior Sales Executive of the Year to Sales Training or Business Development Executive of the Year to Sales Department of the Year; and categories to recognize new products, services, and solution providers.
The winning Silver Stevie® Award in the Award for Innovation and Customer Service – Computer Industries category highlighted the API program. The API program empowers and enables support while a customer is engaged in the product instead of having to go to a separate digital experience such as the support site. Customers can access the digital support applications within the product directly including case creation, entitlements and downloads, and search functionality. In the first three months of launch, there was a 377% increase in adoption followed by another 175% increase in adoption over the next 6 months. By Feb. 2024 the usage was up to 200k calls per month. This program decreased cost-per-answer by 18% as well as continued to boost overall digital support customer satisfaction and customer effort scores.
The winning Bronze Stevie® Award in the Best Customer Engagement Initiative category highlighted NetApp’s Discord community program. The program “reimagined community” by enabling an expansion of the existing forums-based community into a real-time experience and grew to thousands of members from initial launch. The goal was to enable a landing place for the next generation of customers with experiences like hosting watch parties, tech-focused livestreams and other live events. The team continues to create an engaged audience who is up to date on the latest product launches and has direct access to product teams. As a result of this initiative, membership has doubled on Discord over a two-year timeframe.
The two awards add to digital support’s continued award wins and industry recognition including multiple Stevie Awards® and Association of Support Professionals Support Website awards.
