E-Series Support NVMe/RoCEv2 100GbE for VMware ESXi 7.0 U1/2

I am hoping that someone may be able to provide a techie reason why E-Series for example the E5700 only support Linux when using NVMe/RoCEv2 100GbE and no support for VMware ESXi 7.0 u1/2.

It would appear that ESXi is only support using NVMe/FC does anyone know the reason ?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can answer the question 🙂

No deep technical reason, but simply because we aren't supporting NVMe/RoCE with ESXi 7.x yet. We added support for ESXi 7.x + NVMe/FC with the release of SANtricity OS 11.70.1, but support for NVMe/RoCE is not plan of record yet.
