Will E-series be able to present storage via SMB 2.X + in the bear future?

well... i'm not a netapp employee but i would say definitly not - since e-series is block storage only and SMB2.X/3.X would make it a NAS-Box

if nas NFS/CIFS is needed only FAS will provide appropariate features.
