SMI-S providers for E-Series OEM Storage

Hi All,

I just want to confirm if the SMI-S provider pushes data to the storage that is added to it. I want to ensure it will not cause the storage to be slow after it installed.

Hi

The provider does not push data to the storage. It just periodically monitors.

The provider does support some configuration activities on the storage array (for example, create a volume) but this would have to be initiated by the user via an SMI-enabled client.
