Overview

Effective monitoring of critical infrastructure is the keystone in maintaining operational readiness and is a key enabler of risk mitigation. Monitoring critical infrastructure for atypical workloads and events can help prevent small issues from becoming outages.

NetApp® HCI includes access to the NetApp Active IQ® platform, which is a cloud-based performance monitoring and alerting platform. Active IQ provides a rich set of preconfigured dashboards that displays real-time cluster performance and alerts and that presents a view of historical data

Currently it is strongly recommended to use it with FQDN-based vSphere as IP address-based cluster w/o DNS names still creates some usability issues in the GUI (this will be fixed soon).
