Hi all, I hope you are doing well! I want to ask what the best timeout value for iSCSI block access using Cisco UCS will be for HA/metrocluster systems using FlexPod? The ESX host is booted from iSCSI LUN. VSC is not used in this case. Is the iSCSI timeout value defined on a software ISCSI initiator level (host side) or with the vNic configuration? Attached is a screenshot of the boot time config (overlay iscsi card in UCS). Are the timeout values set in there conflicting in any way with the ESX host or those do not have effect on the ESX hypervisor's own iscsi timeouts? Any insight is welcomed and thank you in advance!

Hello experts, I'm going to ask if you're aware of any customers using VMware NSX in conjunction with FlexPod. From what I know the FlexPod reference architecture is not supporting VMware's NSX and I would like to get a confirmation about that. Then, according to the fact that FlexPod architecture is based on Cisco Nexus switches, that are surely working and certified to work with NSX, I would like to know if any of you had such experience and, moreover, if there is any customer reference where FlexPod is working with VMWare NSX. Many thanks in advance, Francesco

Cisco UCS B-Series, vSphere 6.5, FAS2650 with iSCSI SAN boot. Utilizing ESX storage vMotion for migration of virtual machines to new Datastores on new FAS2750 easy enough. Considering using SnapMirror to migrate and cutover the iSCSI SAN boot LUNS to the new FAS2750. Can anyone share procedure, experiences, tips on accomplishing this task. I have a general idea but would like to avoid pitfalls if possible. Thank You!
