expresspod, fas2240a, C220, how to delay boot on servers

Hello,

it is probably questions for Cisco forum but I rarely go there. I have customer where they often lose power, ups drains out and after power is back, things are turned on. Netapp boots later then C220 so you know problem.

Is there a way on UCS to delay boot of OS or hypervisor for certain number of minutes in order to wait for FAS2240 to boot up?

Thanks,

Damir

Hello Damir,

You will be able to configure a Power Restore Policy using the Cisco Integrated Management Controller.

Browse to the below URL and please look for "Configuring the Power Restore Policy" -

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/unified_computing/ucs/c/sw/gui/config/guide/2-0/b_Cisco_UCS_C-series_GUI_Configuration_Guide_201/b_Cisco_UCS_C-se...

You can induce a delay of upto 240 seconds before the sever is powered on.

Thanks

Arvind.
