We're running DOT 8.2 7-Mode on our IBM N-Series N6240 and recently had the motherboard in node A replaced. Problem is the replacement motherboard is running service processor 1.3P1, which is not supported in 8.2: http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=ssg1S7004436
How can we upgrade the service processor to 1.4 while running in failover mode? I tried doing 'sp setup' from LOADER A screen and the configuration won't stick (shows 'unknown' configuration).

I would like to upgrade my IBM N Series N3700 (NetApp FAS270 equivalent) from 7.1.1.1 to 7.3.7.
I realize that support is discontinued on these products but I was able to download the n series OnTap 7.3.7 code from the IBM support site and a decent set of documentation including an upgrade guide. The only thing is that there is no explanation about the contents of the download:
I don't know which file to use in the "software install ..." command. My hunch is one fo the .exe files but what is the diferenece between the three different ones?
I've extracted the _e setup archive and this created a series of folders presumably with the update code and routines in addition to the bundled firmware updates. Is there a file here that I need to use in the "software install..." command?
I know that this is a NetApp forum but IBM has been of zero help in providing this information. I would presume that the NetApp code comes in a similar bundle. Your help is appreciated in advance.

Is there a way to clear out an existing ssh session that may have been disconnected by loss of network? I have on a few occasions lost my network connection while ssh'd into a filer and then get connection closed errors when trying to reconnect. After 10-20 minutes I'm guessing that the session times out and I am able to connect again. I understand the issue with having more than 1 ssh concurrent ssh connection, but I was wondering if anyone knows a method to kill the old session via filerview or something similar. I have tried to stop and restart the ssh daemon with no luck. This is on ONTAP 7.3.3.

The FAS2040s we are using appear to allow only one simultaneous SSH session to a head. We have a problem in that we have a 'lost' SSH session on one of our 2040s - the SSH client program has crashed, yet the filer appears to think it is still up, since we can't log another ssh session in. I've tried using the Filer View web interface Filer->Use Command Line, but that appears similarly afflicted. Whilst I'm sure I could resolve this by rebooting the filer, is there a more graceful solution to clean up this ssh session? I can mount to /vol/vol0 - is there anything I can do to the file system to kill the existing SSH session details? Also, is there a configuration option to allow more than one concurrent SSH access? Thanks.
