Finally, the following is from our Certification team related to ONTAP certifications:
- NetApp certifications are not release specific. Current certifications remain relevant and applicable to partner compliance requirements.
- If you are currently certified, there is no need to recertify before your current certification expiration date.
- As part of our regular exam update process, the NetApp Certification exams will be updated to incorporate ONTAP 9 features and functionality after the underlying courseware is developed and released.
- Exam release dates are not confirmed, but they are estimated to be in December 2016
