iscsi communication usually happens through your Public network and for FC you require FC cables and HBA card. IF you have FC then you should be able to use either iscsi or fc.

What exactly do you mean? You can access the same LUN via either FCP or iSCSI or both; there is no need to convert anything.

I know this thread is too old already but i would like to ask ,

what if the protocol used for LUN was ISCSI and i wish to change it to FC.I tried changing the protocol using OnCommand System Manager but No good. Are there changes required? Like ,


1.Creating New LUN and Migrate files from the Old LUN
2.From System Manager , Choose FC as protocol
