We justmigrated our volumes from7-mode to C-mode 1 month ago, after running on 7 mode for 6 years. We did get the occasional file lock with 7-mode, but it is happening on a daily basis with C-mode. On one file in particular, I traced the ip that was locking the file and had the user reboot her pc. The lock persisted. Running 8.2 C-Mode.
Am I the only one experincing lock issues?

Not as an aswer to the question, but i think this may be helpful for someone who searches "How to break a CIFS session locked by another user in clustered Data ONTAP"
