Hi
I want to chek the size of a folder including all subfolders and files. Does NetApp has anything that can help me with that or do I have to look at third-party vendor? I have looked att NetApp file screening but can that check the size of files?

Hi
Ok, there is no such size reporting in NetApp.

You can per qtree. If you setup a null quota.. Use - - - for the disk file and threshold then quota report will report usage of all in that qtree but no enforcement of quotas. It is limited to individual qtrees but if you create a qtree for each path to measure it is useful and free

I use a freeware call folder size (http://foldersize.sourceforge.net/) it scan a drive then show you the size of all the folder under that drive as well as the size of the drive itself.
