Hi
I want to update my FAS3070 from 8.0.2P3 to 8.1.3P3 and always get the error below.
Did someone had this error?

Solved! See The Solution
First a netboot always ended with a panic. Then I changed the cfcard to a older one (256mb) and tried it with a netboot. The older card has to less space so I changed back to the original one and like murphy want I could do a netboot.
I've then chosen the "Install new software first" menu option and installed OnTap 8.1.3P3. And it worked:
/cfcard/x86_64/freebsd/image1/kernel: OS 8.1.3P3
/cfcard/x86_64/freebsd/image2/kernel: OS 8.1.3P3

Thanks for your help Nate!
Is this a 256mb card?
a 3070 should have a 1GB card. A lot of of the older filers had 256mb CF cards.
Thanks for the reply.
Do I have to poweroff and check the hardware or is there a command to see the size of the cf card?
Do a "sysconfig" . It should show CF card in slot 0. I have outputed a sample "sysconfig" below.
slot 0: FC Host Adapter 0c
slot 0: FC Host Adapter 0d
slot 0: Intel ICH USB EHCI Adapter u0a (0xdf801400)
boot0 Micron Technology Real SSD eUSB 2GB, class 0/0, rev 2.00/11.10, addr 2 1936MB 512B/sect (4DF0022700092520)
slot 1: SAS Host Adapter 1a
24 Disks: 20341.3GB
1 shelf with IOM3
let us know what size it is.
The size of the cf card is 1GB:
slot 0: ATA/IDE Adapter 0e (0x000001f0)
0e.0 STEC NACF1GM1U-B11 01/17/07 977MB 512B/sect (STI1M78607240042427)
Now I've tried again with 8.0.5. Same error but different space available?? ^^

Someone a solution maybe to delete the older images on the cfcard and get some space?
If you have support I would create a case.
If you do not have support I would get another CF card and try again.
398mb? I have not seen any ONTAP package that large. Something is wrong. How large is the file?
do a "version -b". this will show what is on the CF card.
I don't have support on it because it is just a lab system.
The file is about 175mb so it's definitely something wrong with it.
This is the output:

I guess this is a single head. Maybe you could try a netboot image fresh? Do you need the data?
Thanks for your reply Nate. I need the data (Virtual Machines,CIFS). I will copy them away and do a netboot install.
