Hi,

Does any one know how to enable windows client access to NFS v4 share. I understand that there is a way to grant access for NFSv3 windows clients mentioned in th link https://library.netapp.com/ecmdocs/ECMP12365051/html/GUID-B7080A75-610D-46E1-A0EE-6CF1716636A0.html. I am looking for something similar for NFSv4 cleint access.

Thx,

Gautham

Natively, Windows NFS does not support NFSv4.

To do NFSv4 in Windows, you'd need a 3rd party tool like OpenText (formerly Hummingbird).

There are also other 3rd party clients, and there was even an initiative for NFSv4.1 that eventually went away.

If doing NFS on Windows in cDOT, be sure to use 8.2.3 or later in the 8.2.x family or 8.3.1 or later in 8.3 family. Windows NFS isn't supported in cDOT prior to that.
