Sorry if this is in the wrong forum but its a nightmare navigating around the community and I cant for the life of me find out how to post ! ha
Anyway, I have just moved our exchange DB's from a SAS aggregate to a SATA aggregate and have noticed that our SIS jobs are taking ages.
My question is should we be using storage efficiency jobs on exchange 2010 db's?
Also any pointers on how to post into this forum? cheers

Hi,
You're right - finding the right forum can be a bit of a challenge. Maybe this one due to the application involved:
NetApp for Microsoft Environments?
There isn't much to be gained from Exchange deduplication, unless you are keeping multiple DAG copies in the same volume.
SIS jobs are very read-intensive, so no wonder they are slower on SATA.

Radek
