Hi,

We are getting the below error on the SAN controller after the motherboard on the filer was replaced recently. What could be the reason for this error and how to rectify the same?

Note: All the physical connections to the Filer are cross verified and confirmed to be correct.

[: netif.linkErrors:warning]: Excessive link errors on network interface e0a.Might indicate a bad cable, switch port, or NIC, or that a cable connector is not fully inserted in a socket. On a 10/100 port, might indicate a duplex mismatch

I would start with replacing the cable and/or try a different switch port. If that does not help, I would contact netapp support since it probably is a filer issue.
