nfsv4 mounts umlauts

Hi all,

I'm using a vfiler with nfs4 mounts on ubuntu linux clients and nfs4_acls activated. It seems to work fine, except of the umlauts problem. Mounting a qtree with nfs v3 shows umlauts. But mounting the same qtree with nfs4 does not show the umlauts (instead weird characters).

can anybody help me to find a solution? what additional information do you need to help me?

Hi again,

problems solved by setting volume language to C.UTF-8 and rebooting of the vfiler. Unfortunately this couldn't be done by myself. I needed to ask the computing center, which hosts the NetApp.
