symlink.translations file limits?

Does anyone know of any limitations to the symlink.translations file? We are thinking of using it pretty heavily for our VFS and could potentially have thousands of entries in this file.

I've done a fair bit of online searching but haven't found anything at all to say that there is a limit to file size or number of entries but perhaps someone else has experience with this.

Thanks in advance,

Dylan Penhale

Basically all that I could find on the matter is that you could affect filer performance by having too many entries in this file but I have yet to find any document internally or externally that points to any size limitations.  There is a recommendation on a closed bug to only have one entry per NFS mount point.
