AD Domain changing OU's - will this affect access to CIFS Shares?

Hello all,

I just caught wind that our AD OU's will be altered on this upcoming Monday, and I immediately thought of our CIFS server computer account that is in one of our OU's. From what I am gathering from this KB article, we shouldn't experience any connection issues however I wanted to do my due diligence and ask all you smart people. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

As long as you don’t require ONTAPs OU indicator to match that in AD your are correct. To modify the ou, you need to stop cifs too make the change

Just curious, is there any reason one would need it to match?
