Can we authenticate using Openldap backed ldap server for CIFs shares on windows machin

hi team,

we are trying to achieve this . Please let us know if it’s supported:

- we have a netapp ontap filer where we have created CIFS shares which needs to mount on windows machine.

- we have configured ldap.jumpcloud.com (openldap based) supports RFC2307.

- ldap is configured in workgroup mode . No domain or anything as we don’t have ad server.

- the ldap users are coming as unix based users

- is it possible to use the ldap users creds to authenticate when mounting the shares on windows?

what configuration we need to ensure is in place
