I thought you could from Data ON Tap 7.3.x

Yes, Ontap 7.3 allows it.

That is correct, this is now supported with ONTAP 7.3, but please note there is a caveat. The one thing that is not supported is placing both SV Source and SV Destination qtrees in the same volume (same AGGR is ok, but must be different volumes).
