Caution while manually triggering AutoSupports from C-Mode nodes

The following caution is for when NetApp Tech Support or PS are asking for fresh ASUP to be triggered from your site.

While using the 'system node autosupport invoke' command to manually trigger ASUP from one or all the nodes in your cluster please be sure to specify the '-type' setting in the command. The syntax to be used is:

system node autosupport invoke [-node node_name] -message [case_number|other_reason] -type all

If not specified, the '-type' option defaults to "test". With this value the ASUP does not capture all the information from the node(s). The "test" setting is useful when you are looking to verify that the AUSP settings are working correctly.

FYI, the -type is now a mandatory field for the invoke command, starting with Data ONTAP 8.0.1.
