Deup reclaim free blocks

Could someone pls explain the below.

An example:

A 1TB volume with a 950GB LUN both thin – 800GB’s worth of VMs are added to the LUN – Duplication is ran – The 800GB has reduced to 300GB.

How is free space reclaimed in the aggregate?

Does the LUN and volume shrink (from the storage perspective) down to 300 ish GB ??

Neither FlexVolume nor LUN size will change. You will have a bigger ammount of free space in the FlexVolume as well as in the containing Aggregate tho.
