Disable USB Port Access

I am just getting around to considering new features in OnTAP 9.7 which we upgraded to quite awhile ago. One feature listed in the release notes is the ability to disable USB port access. The notes say the feature is available beginning in 9.7, however the system node usb-ports commands do not exist on my 9.7P15 system. Any ideas? I am in advanced privilege mode.

don't know why i didn't check till now, but apparently it's not a 9.7 command? https://docs.netapp.com/ontap-9/topic/com.netapp.doc.dot-cm-cmpr-970/TOC__system__node.html

but in 9.8 https://docs.netapp.com/ontap-9/topic/com.netapp.doc.dot-cm-cmpr-980/TOC__system__node__usb-ports.html

Can you link me to the doc you saw 9.7 and USB control was supported?  Sounds like it needs an edit.

I recall USB support being also model dependent, and is for hardware models initially supported by ONTAP 9.1.  what model is it?

Ah didn't think of that. Several models all on 9.7P15:

AFF-A700

FAS2720

FAS2620

OnTAP Select

huh, those are all 9.3 or later.   I'd think then you should be able to control them.

I checked my 2552 (9.8P4), i was able to run system node usb-ports show.  They are not supported though.  what's yours show?

Error: "usb-ports" is not a recognized command

Again, remember I am on 9.7P15, not 9.8 or above

I see by @SpindleNinja's screenshot that he's in either advanced mode or diagnostic, have you elevated your privileges @TMADOCTHOMAS

@CHRISMAKI yes I was using elevated privileges.

@SpindleNinja , it was the OnTAP Release Notes:

Click release notes on this page: https://docs.netapp.com/us-en/ontap/ and search for USB
