Dear Community,
I am inheriting a really old Netapp system.
OnCommand System Manager: 3.1.1
I would like to securely wipe out the disk. I have googled and I think "disk sanitize" function is the one I am looking for.
However, is there any step by step to execute this command?
I cant seem to be able to find a step by step guide.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

HI
the guide you looking for is at:
https://kb.netapp.com/app/answers/answer_view/a_id/1034477
As in https://kb.netapp.com/app/answers/answer_view/a_id/1072424
You will have to do it via the command line and likely need to install a free licence
- For Data ONTAP 8.0 and earlier, the disk sanitization feature needed a disk sanitization license. These licenses can be found under Master License keys in the Support site.
- For Data ONTAP 8.1 and later, enter the following command to enable the disk sanitization feature:
node> options licensed_feature.disk_sanitization.enable on
