Make file readonly NFS

Hi!

We have a case that is currently hosted on a linux nfsserver that we are moving to netapp cdot. A small issue has been found.

The application (for some stupid reason) tries to delete a file and recreate it even though it shouldnt.

Is it possible from the netapp side to force a specific file to be readonly. The file can not be moved from this directory (thank you siebel) and the application servers are constantly modifying and creating other files in the same directory.

Is there any smart way to do this from the netapp side..

Regards

Daniel

You could change the NFS mount options on the application host so that it's read-only, or the export entry on the Netapp so that it's read-only for that host.
