Hi Everybody,,

I restored a lun with Ca ArcServe r16 via ndmp. The restore jub finished succesfully; (ontap 8.1)

But after job finished, i can't see restored lun under specified volume with System Manager 2.0.

when i connected to controller via ssh and type "ls" command, i can see just restored snapshot name under volume and the restored lun looking under the snapshot; (i specified smvi snapshot name  in backup job)

Also when i try to map this lun file, it's giving an error " lun map: No such LUN exists"...

Where i am making a mistake?

thanks.

From the KB specified, the important thing is

- restore to the root of a volume or qtree.  If it is restored anywhere else, it will simply show up as a file and lose the metadata allowing it to be recognized as a LUN.

- Create the qtree before.

Thanks, it's worked for me. I modified my restore job and i selected "do not create any directory" and i created qtree. Now i can see restored lun under qtree.

thanks.
