I would like to backup Remote branch offices (Windows 2008 R2, Vmware ESX) with NSB connected with VPN over a slow WAN-Link. (Asian Region, Latency 250-350 ms and more).
Does anybody have any experience in this area? Do you think it will work? Or do you have any other good ideas how I can do it?
Thank you in advance for any help!
Many Thanks Jo Schartmueller

NSB has "remote seeding" option that allows to perform the base (initial) backup to a local, removable device (like external hard drive) which can then be transported to the main data center. Using the image on the removable device, the base snapshot is then recreated on the target (destination) storage at the main data center. Once the base snapshot is established, future backups can easily complete over the WAN as they are always incremental backups. NSB provides an incremental forever backup scheme.

YES it will work
I fully agree with UPADHYAYULA
it's similar to OSSV and lrep
but easier to handle and you have more features for disaster and recovery scenario's
