Netapp VSC General Question

aimp

Hi All

Can i ask a general question re data stores created using the VSC console.

If the VSC is off do the VMware hosts lose access to the mapped data stores?

Thank you

For traditional datastores no problem, but with VVOL datastores VSC is a dependency. The VASA provider is hosted in the VSC Virtual Machine. So for VVOL if the VSC is not available you cant provision, modify or power on the VMs.
