Not able to increase the size of a flexclone parent volume

Hi,

I'm not able to increase the size of a felxclone parent volume (of two clone volume). I've check option fs_size_fixed is on for this volume.

Based on my understanding once we change the value for fs_size_fixed to off, we will be able to increase the size of the volume.

But I'm not sure why fs_size_fixed is set to on for a for a flexclone parent volume, what will be the risk/effect on the parent and the clone volume if we change the value for fs_size_fixed to off.

Or let me know if there is any other way to increase the size of a flexclone parent volume.

Thanks,

Anant

Changing the size of the parent of a clone is fine. Just turn the fs_size_fixed to off. This generally gets set when a volume was the destination in a snapmirror.
