Rename SnapVault destination volume and not lose any snapshots

We have a few volumes that are in SnapVault relationships where the destination volume was named incorrectly.  What are the steps that we need to take in order to rename the destination volumes and save all of the snapshots that have been copied so far?

Thank you.  We know how to rename volumes, but everything that we read made it sound like a more involved process when you are renaming a SnapMirror/Vault target.  Luckily it turned out that if you rename the target volume, the relationship is automatically updated when running CDOT.

Hi there,

This document outlines the process for 7-Mode - https://kb.netapp.com/app/answers/answer_view/a_id/1034843/loc/en_US#__highlight

For Clustered ONTAP (8.3 and later), you would use the volume rename and snapmirror modify commands

Hope this helps!
