SDW : How connect a LUN (and create FS) provisioned by Prov Mgr ?

Hi,

I would create LUNs by ProvMgr for many features (create automatically a volume, add dedupe etc...) and connect this LUN by SDW (and create NTFS Filesystem).

How an I do this : impossile to do with create disk and connect a disk failed.

Hi,

You need to create volume instead of LUN, if you would like to use host side tools like SDW to create LUNs.

If you are provisioning a LUN using Prov Manager then you need use windows "Disk Management" page to write the file system.
