We have been doing snapmirror TDP from 7-mode to CDOT. For 1 particular vfiler it took around 7 days to finish the baseline snapmirror initializing (14TB approx, CIFS data) while other vfilers typically complete in 2 days' time. I just want to understand, does the type of data matters to the snapmirror transfer speed? for example a volume with large number of small files could be slower than same capacity another volume with large files? Since the snapmirror transfer is based on blocks does it matter this file/inode count to the speed of transfer. Please enlighten me.
