SMSQL 5.1P2 and SnapVault

Dear community members,

Situation

I have a snapshot on primary storage and had requested to transport this snapshot via Protection manager.

During the transfert I have a job failled or secondary storage or Protection Manager are not available

Question

How to restart the Protection Task to protect the snapshot and how to see this snapshot with SMSQL.

Hi Christophe

Just select the Dataset and click protect now. Protection Manager will then transfer the latest snapshot marked for protection.

I found a way to update the archive backup list of SnapManager for SQL

After a transfert via protection via script ussing TimeStamp and backup version and retention .

I tested it with several case and it's working find. However I sure that netapp will not support that.
