Hi.
I came across one of the steps installing and configuring host utilities for linux OS's.
As on the doc of the link (https://docs.netapp.com/us-en/ontap-sanhost/hu_centos_67.html#san-booting), there is a part to append the following parameter 'rdloaddriver=scsi_dh_alua' for ALUA and non-ALUA to work.
However, after a certain OS version, this step has been removed from the guide manual. Would it mean this setting parameter became obsolete after a certain point ? If you could explain why, that would be really helpful.

Hi,
It means that after 7.0:
"CentOS 7.0 is compiled with all settings required to recognize and correctly manage ONTAP LUNs"
So you just don't need to change any kernel parameters to use ALUA after 7.0 (considering CENTOS).
Regards,
Pedro
