We have configured and installed SnapCenter v6.0 on Windows 2022, when configured SMTP server and testing emails got the below error:

An error occurred while attempting to establish an SSL or TLS connection. The host name (172.19.64.12) did not match any of the names given in the server's SSL certificate: • *.ngahr.com • ngahr.com . The remote certificate was rejected by the provided RemoteCertificateValidationCallback.

Anyone have this issue and get it fixed ? Kindly help out

Hi Venkatesh,

The error message you provided suggests there's a mismatch between the host name/IP address and the names listed in the SSL certificate for the SMTP server and the communication is rejected. This kind of mismatch can cause the SSL/TLS connection to fail, which is likely the issue you are facing here.

To resolve this, please check the SSL certificate being used by the SMTP server. Ensure the certificate is valid and correctly configured. It should include the correct host names or IP addresses for the SMTP server. If the certificate is self-signed or issued by an internal CA, make sure it is trusted by the SnapCenter server.

I kindly request you to reach out to your Server Management team to fix this certificate issue, as SnapCenter relies on the communication between the servers and merely reports the error message from the server.

Thanks and Regards,
