Snapmirror not being initiated as part of SMVI backup

Hi,

I want SMVI to initiate the snapmirror update but it fails.
This is the error I see in SMVI log

2010-09-29 15:09:58,019 [AWT-EventQueue-0: INFO]: com.netapp.nmf.smvi.jobs.RunBackupJobGUICallBackForStatus: SnapMirror update from source snapshot smvi__DS_SMVI_recent to destination location auck1:Wel_esx_mirror_wel1_smvi_test failed

I get no indication on the filer that it has failed and the snapmirror works just fine through schedule we have setup in DFM

Any ideas where I can find the problem

Hi,

I don't know your configuration, but maybe (only an idea) you have configurate Qtree Snapmirror

(QSM) for your SMVI Backup?

My last Info about SMVI (Version 2.0) was, that it's only supported with Volume Snapmirror Relationships.

Hi,

We are not using qtrees in this instance. We are mirroring the volume.

I get the same problem when I use SMVI on different volumes.
