Hi in order to facilitate a migration on a big number of client i would like to know if it s possible to mount a volume in different location at the same time. the volume is mounted through the old path in 100+ client and it s not really easy to synchronize the change at the same time on all clients.

I am not sure if this is the correct forum, but I did see other posts about NetApp volumes here. Please advise of the correct forum if needed. On the Google Cloud Platform, I deployed a STANDARD service level 2048gb NetApp storagepool in uscentral1. Then I created a 100gb volume also in uscentral1. I have a question about this volume's performance. When I use the FIND command to traverse through a directory, the performance is noticeably slower on the Netapp volume versus the same data on the local drive. At first I was thinking I needed to increase my throughput performance by increasing my service level or making the volume bigger(which increases throughput performance). But after thinking about it, my FIND command is not moving data, it's just traversing through the directory. So it seems this is not a throughput issue? Does anyone have insight as to the performance issue here: root@server1:~# time find /data_local/cache/4c71-4cb6-bd50-d80aa7/ -type f | wc -l 4995 real 0m0.119s user 0m0.058s sys 0m0.059s root@server1:~# time find /data_NetappVol/cache/4c71-4cb6-bd50-d80aa7/ -type f | wc -l 4995 real 0m3.968s user 0m0.078s sys 0m0.219s

Hi, We've got two clusters in separate Data Centres. Cluster 1 from a snapmirror perspective is our source and Cluster 2 is our destination. We use snapmirror on the volume and not on the SVM. We've just added two new nodes in each cluster and therefore two new aggregates. We will be decommissioning two nodes in each cluster and will therefore need to move the volumes to the new aggregates on the new nodes. The volumes will be staying on the same SVM in each cluster. Is the process simply to quiesce the snapmirror, perform the volume move on the source and destination and then resume the snapmirror, or do I need to delete the snapmirror relationship and start again? Or should I delete the snapmirror destination volume, create a new one and then create a new snapmirror and initialize? Is there anything else that I am missing? Thanks, Ben

I am trying to setup SVM DR. I currently have a volume snapmirror relationship from cluster A -> Cluster B. Now I am trying to setup SVM-DR from Cluster B to Cluster C. After creating svmdr, the DP source volumes shows as unprotected. Am I doing something wrong or is the configuration not supported?
