I'm about to upgrade our SnapCenter infrastructure from 5.0P2 to 6.1P1, with the exception of five SQL Servers running Windows Server 2008R2 and 2012R2 [and yes we are pushing them to migrate to new servers]. Those Windows versions can't run SC 6.x [or for that matter some of the new prerequisites like the new PowerShell version requirement]. The problem: I just discovered that the IMT indicates that both 6.0.1 and 6.1 running on the SC server is not compatible with 5.x Windows or SQL plug-ins. I could upgrade only to 6.0 I suppose, which can run the Windows 5.x plug-in and possibly the SQL one [I say possibly because the online documentation and IMT for the plug-in say the SQL 5.x plug-in is compatible, but the IMT for the server says it is not]. Any suggestions? Is 6.0 sufficiently stable without going to 6.0.1 or 6.1? Is 6.0 in fact compatible with the SQL 5.x plug-in?

Hi All, I would like to ask about the RCF file for Bes53248. What is the difference between downloading BES-53248-RCF v1.10 Cluster-HA.txt from the NetApp website and using the RCF generator tool? Do I need to reimport the RCF file after updating the firmware? Thanks. Metrocluster AFF250 9.10.1p8 to 9.13.1p8 Bes53248 3.8.0.2 to 3.10.0.3

Hello everyone, I would like to determine the change rates of the snapshots for our volumes. The only way I currently see is to record all snapshots in a table and repeat this process multiple times for data comparison. But that can't be the only solution. Does anyone have an idea? Could it possibly be done with a script + perhaps NetApp API?

Hello I'm troubleshooting connectivity to syslog server and I can still see: EMS::SYSLOG_HANDLER: Cannot send an ems message to syslog destination: x.x.x.x Reason: cannot add the destination to the syslog_client. Error: Failed to connect: Operation timed out Ping to syslog destination is working. Firewall is opened between cluster_mgmt LIF and syslog destination, so it leads me to confirm if really a cluster_mgmt is the source LIF that sends the logs or maybe node management LIFs are sending the logs - can anyone confirm? I've tried to find this information in documentation but I couldn't.
