Hi, I explain my case: We have to migrate a SQL cluster environment to new servers and new netapp (previous storage also netapp). We have made SnapMirror for Mon RDM (4 Mon). We see that you have copied everything exactly the same, but what changes is the serial number of the lun and the ID. Steps: We stop CLuster SQL. We turn off the 2 VMs. We disconnect the RDM disks from the 2 VMs. We update and break snapmirror. We present the new LUNs to the new servers. We migrate the machines to the new servers and storage. We edit the configuration and add the RDM disks exactly the same (only to the first VM). We turn on the VM and find that the cluster does not start. In the disk manager the disks appear in "offline" mode and it does not allow us to put it online, because it says that the failover cluster is managing it. In the failover cluster the disks appear disconnected and if we connect them there is an error. Any ideas? Should the LUN ID be the same as the source ID? thanks,

Hello, I am testing the MAV (Multi-Admin Verify) feature. I just stumbled across the limitation that it doesn't work with SnapCenter yet, so that leaves our CIFS Servers. I set up a rule with the following parameters: Operation "volume snapshot delete" Query "-vserver <vserver>" (where "<vserver>" is the CIFS Server) However, my test SnapCenter job, which runs against volumes in a different SVM, still kicks off multiple MAV requests when it tries to auto-delete older snapshots outside of the retention period. Did I miss something in the syntax? Any advice?

Hi, a few days ago i made a volume clon from a snapshot to restore a virtual machine. After i finished the restore, i wasn't able to delete the volume, because the volume which i cloned got the same snapshot settings as the source volume. And the source has tamperproof snapthots enabled. I had luck, the retention for the hourly snapshots is one day, so i disabled the scheduled snapshots and wait one day to delete the volume. My question to think about: Is it useful to enable tamperproof snapshots on a volume clone per default when on the source enabed? Kind regards Stefan

ONTAP에서 NFSv4를 구성하는 방법은 무엇입니까? - NetApp 기술 자료 Hello. I'm trying to make up nfsv4, There are two types of documents in the link above: the Set NFSv4 on ONTAP 9 using a local file method and the Enable NFSv4 in ONTAP 9 using Active Directory LDAP method, We tested it with the Set NFSv4 on ONTAP 9 using a local file method, and all users other than the user-mapped users are connected to the volume. Do I really need ldap to use nfsv4?

Hi Experts ! I need some info on what happens with ONTAP when you add more disks to an aggregate than the max allowed for the RAID group of that aggregate. Basically: What does ONTAP do in this case? Does it automatically create a new RAID group for the extra disks, or is there another way it handles it? Are there any performance or redundancy impacts on the aggregate after adding more disks than the RAID group's limit? Are there any best practices or recommendations to avoid issues in this kind of situation? If anyone's been through this, can you share your experience and how you managed it? Here's my specific scenario: I have an aggregate with one RAID group (rg0) of 25 disks (RAID_TEC) + 2 spare, and the Max RAID Size is 29. What happens if I add 28 more disks to this aggregate ? This is to increase the capacity of a FlexGroup Thanks experts !!
