Good Afternoon! I am new to ONTAP and with using IdM as an LDAP server and I'm struggling with the integration of the two. We are running ONTAP version 9.15.1P6 and Red Hat 9.x IdM. I'm trying to connect an ONTAP cluster as an LDAP client to my Red Hat IdM server. For my cluster, I need to map ONTAP user roles to user groups so I can manage what various administrators can do within ONTAP from IdM. Eventually I will need to do SVM administrative user management, along with NFS and S3 access user authorizations as well. So far, I've managed to connect the ONTAP cluster to the LDAP server using the Web GUI and it seems to be happy (I got a green "it was successful box") but when I attempt to log in using a IdM user it fails. How can I debug user login failures and how do you map ONTAP user roles to IdM configuration? Better yet, is there a comprehensive guide somewhere that explains how to integrate ONTAP into a Red Hat IdM environment for both cluster administration, SVM administration, NFS access and S3 Access? Thanks!

I've inherited a FAS2720 system and I have a volume that's showing poor performance. I'm wondering if disks were added to its aggregate but a reallocation job was never run. Is there a way to see the current allocation status of a volume, i.e. which specific disks its data is stored on? Related: is there a way to analyze a volume/aggregate to see if reallocating volume data would be beneficial?

Hello. A nas volume migration plan is in place from hp storage. Since xcp is a file copy, I want to make sure to add xcp verify process for consistency. During the migration plan, we need to calculate the time for service downtime As far as I know, xcp estimate only calculates xcp transmission time, but there is no way to calculate xcp verification time, so does anyone know?

I've deployed a new instance of OnTap Select version 9.16.1RC1. When I try to configure the Onboard Key Manager I get the following error, "Operation failed because TPM is not active. Contact technical support for assistance.". I'm not seeing this error if I deploy 9.14.1 or 9.15.1. Did hardware requirements change in 9.16.1 for OnTap Select?
