Hi guys. I had a funny issue a few days ago. We have the following:   Volume with a single LUN in it both space guaranteed 2 snapshots in the volume 2 flexclones hanging off those snaps fractional reserve set to 0 auto-grow disabled Now, what happened was that the volume went to 100% but the LUN remained online. The OS saw that the disk had plenty of space on it and was trying to copy some large files onto it. The entire OS went into a hang because it couldn't commit the writes to the Storage. I have a question, This KB mentions: The default disk block size for WAFL is 4k, which is equal to LUN's physical block size But when I use lun show-fields block-size, I get a different result. Hi,   I got a FAS2620 Cluster with 2 nodes, a few weeks ago there was a failure in 1 Controller, it is an old ONTAP 9.3 (don't jude me for this) with external support service, this support replaced the controller with a renewed one and for many reasons we didn't notice the node didn't come back, when we finally can get a login screen by console, Service Processor IP and all data shown was from previous company and running ONTAP 9.7x, after some work I downgrade to ONTAP 9.3P21 but I think the node needs to be rebuild from scratch, the issue is I can't get ONTAP 9.3  version to be in the same version as the cluster does and I can't update the cluster because there is a node missing, besides the node working is sharing data for final users. I think the only way to get both nodes working as a cluster is backup all data and force an update in the node running 9.3 to 9.3P21 and rebuild the cluster from scratch.   Probably there could be other way so I'm open to any suggestion. ... Hello I found some post here about this but it is still not clear to me. ONTAP 9.5P3. SVM snapmirror DP. 1) if I resize the source volume is it going the destination vol resize accordingly? What must be set to make it work? 2) is there any special procedure how to resize snapmirrored vol to resize the destination accordingly? 3) I cannot find such an obvious task described in any doc. Hi All,   Quick disclaimer, I have basically no NetApp experience so please be gentle. I have not been able to find an answer yet so just wanted to ask this community.   I inherited an FAS2240-2 and we had a disk failure. We purchased some replacement drives (correct part number etc.) and long story short, we received another disk failure on that same slot. After a bit of investigating I found that the replacement drive has a different firmware version than the other disks in the chasis -  new disk NA03 and other disks NA02 My question was will the NetApp work correctly with disks running different firmware versions? Or is this the cause of the second disk failure? (i was suspecting the issue was with the slot causing the 2 failures)   Thanks Andrew ... View more
