HI. I want to document how to upgrade my appliances. I have an AFF220 and FAS2750. Both are at ONTAP 9.9.1.
I would like to use the Simulate ONTAP virtual appliances to test and document the upgrade to 9.14.1 using the ONTAP manager. When I try to upload the upgrade packages I get an error saying "Internal Error: There is not sufficient space in the file upload directory to upload this file. Contact technical support for assistance."
This technote does not help as the resize fails:
Command used to try to resize:
system services web file-uploads config modify -node * -size 7GB
Any help?

It’s generally not worth it. You need to significantly increase the size of the root volume (vol0) to allow the upload to happen. You may need to increase the size of the file upload space on the cli also as it may be artificially small on the simulator
plus, you can’t jump that high. You can go at most 3-4 releases ahead and you’re trying 5.
upgrade to 9.12 or 9.13 (latest P release) before trying 9.14
