I actually gave up on that method after learning that netapp is no longer developing SMVI as an independent application. I've since installed VSC 4.0 plugin on vCenter.
Does anyone know if it's possible to execute a post snap run script to backup the consistent snapshot to a remote backup server? I'm not sure if we need to mount the snap first before doing the backup or we can back it up directly as it is.
It will be great if you could point me to any docs or off the shelf scripts.
